Pierre Gasly was born on January 22, 1997, in France, but grew up in Switzerland. He started karting at the age of seven and quickly rose through the ranks. His talent was recognized early, and he made his debut in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup in 2014. In just one season, he won three races and finished second overall. This performance earned him a move to Formula Three, where he continued to impress with victories and podiums.
In 2016, Gasly moved to Formula One, joining Toro Rosso as their test driver. His first taste of Formula One came in 2017, when he raced in the opening round of the season at Bahrain.
